What is it?

Notepad Online — this is service for saving text notes. You can write some text in your notebook and close the site. The entire text will be saved automatically. Later, when you open the website again, you will see your previously saved text.

The service is completely free and does not require registration.

Who will benefit from the service?

The service will be especially useful for those who need to quickly save some text without leaving the browser. To work with notepad, you do not need to register, as in other similar services — you can enter text immediately and then return to it when needed.

Can your notes fall into the wrong hands?

No, they can't. The saved text will not fall into the wrong hands, as:

  1. Your text is stored only in your browser.
  2. The text is not stored on the Internet and is not transmitted to servers.
  3. The text is not indexed by search engines.

All this ensures that your text will never get online without your knowledge and will not go beyond your computer at all.

Please note that in other note storage services, the text is usually sent to the developers' server. Will they use it for purposes that are not good for you — on their conscience. Also, in some projects, users' text is indexed by search engines. This means that when using such services, all your notes will be publicly available on the Internet.

Where and how is your text stored?

The text that you save in notepad is physically stored in your browser. Neither here, nor anywhere else. Only in your browser. As a rule, browser data is linked to your account in an operating system, for example, Windows. That is, each user with a separate account will have their own notepad contents.

Many browsers have a data cleanup feature, for example: browsing history, cache, passwords, etc. If you clear the browser data, the contents of the notebook will also be cleared. In practice, it is usually not necessary to clear browser data. But if you still want to do this, then do not check the boxes listed below, then the contents of the notebook will be saved. Make the selected text underlined or remove the underline.

Make the selected text strikethrough or remove strikethrough.

Text background color —

Change the background color of the selected text or remove the color.

Text color —

Change the color of the selected text or remove the color.

Bulleted list —

Make the selected text a bulleted list or remove the list.

The numbered list —

Make the selected text a numbered list or remove the list.

Insert a link —

Insert, edit or delete a link.

Remove formatting —

Remove formatting from the selected text. The link is not deleted.
